Sprouting seeds in water
Some seeds germinate well in water. A simple method to sprout these seeds uses 2 plastic cups, one of which has holes on the bottom. This makes it easier to strain out the seeds when replacing the water each day. Just avoid making the holes too big, or the root or seed may get stuck in it (I use pointy scissors to make the holes).
